Rubia Khatun and all her younger brothers and sisters are unfortunately blind by birth. They stay in a shanty house at Barunhat Badamtala in Hingalganj. She was once married to a person and has a daughter too. But her husband also left her about two year ago. After that she was staying with her father but her father has also died soon after her husband has left the family. She along with her brothers, sisters and daughter are striving to survive under extreme poverty. The lock down due to COVID-19 and subsequently the Amphan super cyclone has put them in such a condition that their house has been destroyed to a large extent.
Swapnopuron has extended support for rebuilding their house and also have been providing dry ration support. This support has been meaningful for them to survive. However, they would require such support for at least for another 6 months till they are able to cope up with the changing situation.
This is an appeal for supporting this family with dry ration so that they can survive and Swapnopuron would ensure that they get the benefits from the government in due course.
