Creating Sustainable School and Developing 21st Century Skills
HRDEF inculcate and motivates students for science, technology, engineering, art, design, and mathematics (STEAM) for 21st Century living. HRDEF committed to establish processes and organization for educating for sustainable development, management of environmental and water issues through involving children, youth, and elders using ICT. HRDEF promoting capacity building for environment and sustainable development in children, youth, and skills development. HRDEF promotes natural, water, land resource management, sustainable agriculture, bio-diversity enrichment, and disaster management using educational inventiveness for smart cities and villages.
We are implementing this project in government schools of hilly state Uttarakhand, thus encouraging students to develop herbal/kitchen garden in school, estimate/audit for rainwater harvesting, make compost bin, energy reduction, reduction of plastics, adopt principles of 3 R, and other sustainable innovative practices in school then in home, and community. Therefore, need funds for establishing these facilities in atleast 30 schools and developing, distributing hands-on learning kits based on game and project based approach to students.
