#GivingTuesdayIndia is being celebrated on the Tuesday that falls between October 2-8 during #DaanUtsav. Launched as the pilot year, October 3, 2017 will be the first #GivingTuesday in India
#GivngTuesdayIndia can be celebrated all over India, both on the ground and online. You can also engage your global donors to support your work serving communities in India.
India celebrates #DaanUtsav, its joy of giving week from Oct 2 to 8 every year since 2009. There is great commonality between objectives of #GivingTuesday and that of #DaanUtsav. Therefore celebrating #GivingTuesday during the week of #DaanUtsav deepens the culture of giving in India and aligns it to the rest of the world.
#GivingTuesdayIndia builds on the strength of a global movement to showcase and build support for your NGO’s work serving communities in India, especially before the start of the festive season beginning with Diwali. The #GivingTuesdayIndia team provides you with resources to create engaging activities for your donors, and beneficiaries.
Your organisation will have the opportunity to join thousands of organisations around the world to enhance the philanthropic sector.
When you register with #GivingTuesdayIndia as an NGO partner, we will feature your organisation among in the list of NGOs partners. Your logo will be displayed among partners on the home page and your logo with description of what you propose to do as your #GivingTuesdayIndia celebration will be displayed. You can also register your campaigns and events open to the public which we will share with relevant registered users of this portal.
Everyone! #GivingTuesdayIndia is open to everyone to give: individuals, families, businesses, corporations, NGOs, schools and communities.
It’s easy! Just go ahead and fill this form. #GivingTuesdayIndia registers NGOs that are verified for tax exempt status in India (registration under section 12A of Income Tax and filing of Income Tax Returns). All NGOs certified by GuideStar India are eligible to participate in #GivingTuesdayIndia.
All NGOs which complete their registration for #GivingTuesdayIndia automatically become GuideStar India Transparency Key Certified NGOs and are listed on the GuideStar India website.
Registration and participation is completely free! #GivingTuesdayIndia is a free and open movement to encourage and build the culture of giving. All our resources are available for free through our website.
