#GivingTuesdayIndia is being celebrated on the Tuesday that falls between October 2-8 during #DaanUtsav. Launched as the pilot year, October 3, 2017 will be the first #GivingTuesday in India
#GivingTuesdayIndia can be celebrated all over India, both on the ground and online. You can also engage your global teams to support the work of NGOs serving communities in India.
India celebrates #DaanUtsav, its joy of giving week from Oct 2 to 8 every year since 2009. There is great commonality between objectives of #GivingTuesday and that of #DaanUtsav. Therefore celebrating #GivingTuesday during the week of #DaanUtsav deepens the culture of giving in India and aligns it to the rest of the world.
#GivingTuesdayIndia builds on the strength of a global movement to increase exposure and build support for your organisation’s philanthropic activities, especially before the start of the festive season beginning with Diwali. The #GivingTuesdayIndia team provides you with resources to create engaging activities for your customers, employees, members or students.

When you register with #GivingTuesdayIndia as a corporate or institutional partner, we will feature your organisation among in the list of Corporate/ Institutional partners. Your logo will be displayed among partners on the home page and your logo with description of what you propose to do as your #GivingTuesdayIndia celebration will be displayed. You can also register your campaigns and events open to the public which we will share with relevant registered users of this portal.
Everyone! #GivingTuesdayIndia is open to everyone to give: individuals, families, businesses, institutions including schools or colleges, NGOs and groups.

No. #GivingTuesdayIndia does not accept or distribute donations. You can use platforms of any of our collaborating intermediaries[Insert the correct hyperlink] to set up fundraising pages for your partner NGOs and raise online donations through them.
When you search for NGOs on #GivingTuesdayIndia (featured to be launched around mid-September), you will see the various options to support them, directly as well as through intermediary organisations. You will also see their certification level based on due diligence by GuideStar India.
